Debra Lacy has been a fiber artist for over 20 years. She started
as a self taught knitter, then progressed to other techniques such
as spinning and weaving before finding her creative DNA in felting.
She has been creating the felted critters you see here since 2004.
Debra has a Fine Arts Degree in Textiles from Western Washington
University and teaches felting and knitting techniques at Northwest
Handspun Yarns in Bellingham, Washington.
Debra has also designed a series of Artfelt projects for Skacel Collections, Inc.
In addition to creating her own work, she has been involved as
a Studio Assistant to artist, Sheila Klein, hand weaving, crocheting
and knitting large pieces for exhibitions and shows.
Debra currently divides her time between Smokey Point and Ballard, Washington with 9 cats, one dog
and one fella. |
